Seems to be an evening of necropoleis ... An Italian team has uncovered, inter alia, a sizeable necropolis near Palmyra which dates to the mid-second-millennium B.C.. That's a bit out of our purview, but the ANSA report also mentions the discovery of a stretch of Roman road, including eleven milestones mentioning "Aurelius" (Aurelian, shurely) and remains of a mansio.
