The Department of Classics at The University of Winnipeg invites applications from qualified women and men for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The appointment is effective July 1, 2008, subject to budgetary approval. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Applicants should have a Ph.D. completed or near completion and a demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching, research and scholarship. Duties could include teaching undergraduate courses in Greek and Latin Literature in Translation, Roman History, Staging Ancient Drama, Classical Mythology and (at all levels) the Greek and Latin languages.
