VANDERBILT UNIVERSITY. The Department of History of Art invites
nominations and applications for a tenured Associate or Full Professor
starting fall 2008. The candidate should be a Romanist with a research
program in art and/or archaeology. Candidates for the position must have
a substantial record of publication and demonstrate a continuing
commitment to distinguished research. The successful candidate will fully
participate in a program devoted to excellent undergraduate and graduate
teaching (the department will initiate a PhD program in Fall 2010). We
expect that the successful candidate will play an active role in promoting
the department's interdisciplinary connections and the university
