Okay ... so I'm distracted and start perusing the APA newsletter from August. Nice compendium of dissertations completed and in progress, inter alia ... but on the back page is an order form for publications, most of which are reasonably priced. But then I see that the APA's Careers for Classicists brochure is $3.00. Don't you think that an organization which ostensibly is promoting Classics to the outside world should make this particular thing available FOR FREE? I'm sure there are piles of Classics wannabes out there who would love to be able to show mommy or daddy that a Classics degree isn't a dead end proposition cvm waste of their long-saved tuition dollars. This sort of thing should be front and center on the APA website, no?
