Simulacra Romae is a very attractive site devoted to the provincial capitals (European) of the Roman Empire ... the site has a pile of articles, photos, etc. in various languages (none English ... Spanish capitals are Spanish, French are French, etc.), although there are some pages which are still 'in labour'.
