Just happened to hit a program called 'Making of Rome' on the Movie Channel ... some spoilers for you to keep your eye open for: there's going to be (very bloody) gladiatorial bouts and they'll be in the forum (yay!); amicus noster Pullo apparently will be fighting in one ... the guy talking about the props was talking about how authentic everything was and said the standards for the xiii legion were "copies of the original" ... I don't think we have such a thing available to copy ... he also mentioned wax tablets, but then they showed the scene of Atia cursing by scratching on lead sheets ...
