AM over at Sauvage Noble points us to the existence of an amazing (potentially) site dedicated to the work of Georges Dumezil. Most (if not all) of GD's scholarly papers are available online in DJVu format ...

Of course, you know this will just lead to a rant that we need more of this sort of thing (why not a site with Syme's papers? or other Classical scholars?) ... I also wonder why -- after years of the internet's existence and the taking off the web of such useful things as the Ancient History Bulletin -- that some Classics Cooperative sort of site hasn't been set up where scholars can post copies of articles (even in pdf format) of articles that they hold the copyright for. I am becoming increasingly disturbed by announcements from various publishers that they're going to electronic publication, but that publication is available only to those who are in a university milieu. I also wonder whether there will be spin-off effects for smaller journals put out by 'smaller' Classics associations who aren't online ... are libraries going to be able/willing to maintain subscriptions to such things?
